Fay is a mining camp in eastern Nevada that got its start in 1900. Dan Mandich was a prominent pioneer saloon merchant in the gold camp of Delamar, Nevada during the 1890s, and when the new nearby camp of Fay got started, he opened a saloon there in perhaps 1900-1901, as perhaps the pioneer saloon there. Unfortunately, Mandich liked poker, and may have lost the saloon in a poker game in June, 1902, when he reportedly "swore off poker" and closed his saloon, moving to Salt Lake. Mandich died in Phoenix in March, 1908. This is yet another one year or less business from a tiny Nevada ghost town. It is surprising to me that the pop in 1990 was 2. The chances of finding one is near zip.
