Excellent real Photo Postcard of the mill on the hillside above Mazuma. The Darby Mill operated from 1909 to 1918. On July 12, 1912, a 20-foot high wall of water came rushing down main street Mazuma from Seven Troughs Canyon and killed almost a tenth of the population. This card was sent a brief three months before this tragic event. Postmarked Lovelock, Nevada April 17, 1912. "Out on the desert is not like on Market Street, San Francisco." It is from Edward Fallon who is obviously out for a vacation (doubtful) or work (at the Darby Mill?). City: Mazuma State: Nevada Date: 1912 HWAC# 52978
