Rare. Incorporated 1879. #1326. Uncancelled. Issued for 1000 shares to Samuel H. Reed on January 15th, 1881. Signed by Chas. W. Selser as president and W.D. Huntley as secretary . Central vignette of four miners working underground. Vignette at left of Pennsylvania seal and right of Colorado seal. Black print on creme paper with fancy border and company seal bottom left. Lithographers: Breuker & Kessler, Philadelphia. Condition: fold lines, small ink stain bottom right, and a few small tears (center top and center left}. Measures 9 x 12.75" Not in C&L. Company shares officers with Compromise Mining Company. A Leadville Daily Herald article from October 7, 1882, describes a shareholder meeting where secretary Huntley says a shaft has been sunk but is now full of water since the old superintendent left with the engine and boiler. Huntley assures the shareholders that the shaft will hit ore within another 20 feet.
