Davis & Kidder's Patent Magneto-Electric Machine for Nervous Diseases. W.H. Burnap, Manufacturer and Sole Proprietor, New York, USA. Endorse and used by the leading physicians throughout the United States and Europe. Used to pass an electric current through a patient to treat nervous diseases including toothaches. Invented by Ari Davis who later sold the patent to Walter Kidder, a physician in Lowell, Massachusetts. Device is contained in a wooden box with brass corners. Lid is broken and missing latch.
