Another early Nevada territorial piece. Addressed to Robert Simson, Lawyer. An envelope addressed to a lawyer in San Francisco, is most probably mining related! From P. S. Mackay. Dayton was at the south end of the Comstock mining furor. c1864. Originally known as Chinatown as that was where the Chinese laborers were living during the rush to Nevada. They where used to build most of the railroads and water ditches in the area.
