Inc. in Colorado in 1880. No. 2949. Uncancelled. Issued for 100 shares to F. Nicklas on June 6th, 1883. Signed by W.K. Marvin (president) and Chas. W. Guffin (secretary). Vignette in the center of four miners working underground. Text on left: “Location/ Willis Creek/ Russell District/ Gilpin County/ Colorado.” Text on right: “Helmer Lode/ 3000 feet/ Decatur, Herschel & Paul/ Each 1500 feet/ 5 acres mill site & 22 acres/ Gold Placer.” Reverse is endorsed. Green border with black print. Company seal lower left. Printer: Hosford & Sons, NY. Measures 11” x 7 ¼.” The mines listed on the certificate were located in Willis Gulch, within the Russell Mining District and two miles from Central City.
