Signed by president (illegible) Storm (also Cornelius?) and secretary R.N. Van Brunt. Not cancelled. Black border and print. Light green background. Three vignettes: eagle on shield (left), dog next to safe (bottom), and allegorical woman next to horn of plenty (top center). Printed by Towne & Bacon, SF. One 25 cent adhesive IR stamp attached on the left. Folds, some creases, and areas of staining. 5.5 x 10.5" Not listed in Filer or Holabird indexes. Browne (1868) only mentions the Alta copper mine as being active in Del Norte. Cornelius Storm is listed as running a wholesale and retail coal depot in the 1867 SF Directory.
