Certificate issued for 2,330 shares in 1940. Inc. in Utah in 1911. Issued to Simon Bamberger Company and signed by Julius Bamberger as president. Mining at Delamar dates to 1892 and Capt. John De Lamar of Montana purchased the principal claims in 1893 which lead to the founding of the camp. From 1895-1900, Delamar produced over half of NevadaÍs output as the rest of the state was generally inactive. De Lamar sold his mines in 1902, after producing $8.5 million in gold. Simon Bamberger was the leader of the new owners (Paher). According to Paher, major mining ceased in 1909, except for a revival between 1929 and 1934. ItÍs interesting to note that this certificate was issued for 23% interest in the company to the Simon Bamberger Company. Nearly 40 years after purchasing De LamarÍs interest, Bamberger was still involved at Delamar. The certificate is in excellent, Uncancelled condition. Date 1940 Delamar, NV hwac 8746
