Lot of 10. 1-3) Blue Label Double Countered Fuse labels. Manufactured by Coast MFG. & Supply Co. Blue on white. Noted to have been found in a mine in Delamar, NV, though no location is noted on the labels. 4) Sequoia Brand fuse package. Manufactured by Coast Manufacturing & Supply Company, Livermore, California. Label is torn through the middle of the central vignette but top and bottom are included in this lot. "In Cold Weather Warm Fuse Slightly Before Uncoiling" printed at top. Vignette has group of sequoia trees. Brown on tan. Wrinkles present with one spot of soil. These labels were found in the mines at Delamar. 5) Registered package registry bill issued Nov. 8, 1899 to Phil Beck in Delamar, NV. One single ring Delamar, NV postage seal on reverse. Sent by Post Master Jas. P. Driscoll. Received by Harrison. 5.25" x 3". 6) Advice of U.S. Postal Money Order. No. 9907 issued Apr. 22, 1899 in favor of Fred Mathews for $6. One double ring Delamar, NV M.O.B. Seal stamp on face and two on the reverse. Red and black on blue/crème. Light discoloration at top. 7) Letter of appointment of attorney to writ 1000 shares at the meeting of the Ruby Hill Tunnel and Mining Co. Signed by Fred Miller with hand written encircled "seal" at bottom. 5" x 8". Two folds present. 8) Letter of transaction for sale of a home in Eureka County for $50. Signed by Fred Miller. December 31, 1899. 9) Cover addressed to "Post Master" Hiko, NV, Lincoln Co. Return information printed in red at left: "C.E. DeForest Mining and Mechanical Engineer and Metallurgist." Two blue one cent postage stamps at right. Bottom rag opening. Two single ring Delamar, NV postage seals at right: March 31, 1896. 10) Photograph reprint (7.5" x 5") of the town of Delamar. The image has been printed reverse as the mill is at right and town at left. To the left of the mill (which was actually to the right if looking from across the valley) is the Hog Pen, the Delamar Mining Co.`s glory hole. Dust in the camp was so prolific in causing fatal silicosis, it was nicknamed "The Maker of Widows."
