Great postmark with a great looking stamp. Sent to Charles Nathrop of Oro City. Nathrop had a grist mill, store and ranch at the mouth of Chalk Creek. He appears to have collaborated with Otto Mears in the construction of the Pencha Pass toll wagon road. The Black Jack stamp probably dates this piece to 1868 of earlier. Mail to and from Oro City, located near to present day Leadville, is rare.
