Black border and print, gold seal, and Colorado state seal vignette. Folds, creases. 8 x 10" An electric railroad short-line planned from Denver through Cripple Creek, Victor, and Silver Cliff, on through to New Mexico and Arizona. Granted right of way by Congress in 1896 to run through the South Platte and Plum Creek forest reserves. Colorado & Southern Railway bought the railroad's franchise in 1899 for use as the basis of a line built in 1902 from South Platte to Nighthawk. Successor was Colorado and Southern Railway.
