A pair of really rare Denver physician bottles. Denver had five different embossed drug bottles made for dispensing of drugs by physicians, something that is quite unusual, as the physicians typically write out a prescription for a drug store. Here, in a very rare case, the drugs were dispensed directly by the physician about 1892. Cobalt blue: Dr. Hitzfeld/Denver, Colo./For External Use Only, 3.5" tall, stain on exterior, otherwise choice and extremely rare. Amber: Dr. Kinley/ Denver, 3" tall, exterior stain, appears mint. Both of these bottles are duplicates from the Ron Reed Collection, with other examples in other lots. This lot offers the advanced American colored drugstore collector a chance at a couple of very rare bottles. Ron Reed Collection.
