Framed and matted presentation of two letters signed by Denver D. Pyle, best known as Uncle Jesse on "The Dukes of Hazzard." Pyle presented a silver dollar as consideration for the rights to screenplays. 1989 letter is handwritten addressed to "Dear Jaybird" for a one year option on "Point Blank." 1991 letter is typewritten to Mr. Jay Simms for a screenplay entitled "Bad Man." Pyle did business as "Tri Island Land & Cattle Company" at 10614 Whipple Street North Hollywood. Frame is 24 x 16 inches. Screenwriter Jay Simms had a long career, including the 1962 film "Panic In Year Zero."
