Group of 2 items: 1) "The Colorado Hand-Book: Denver and Its Outings. A Guide for Tourists and Book Of General Information, with some bits of Early History." Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1892, by W.G.M. Stone. Denver, Colo.: Barkhausen & Lester, Fine Book and Job Printers, 1892. Softcover, 170 pages, including many advertisements, illustrations, tables, and a general index. The multi-colored pull-out map references the Denver Tramway Cable Co., the Denver Tramway Electric Co., the City Cable Co., the City Electric Co., and the Horse Car Co. A very thorough text, areas covered include: art galleries, newspapers, mining as a resource, public schools, and the water supply. 2) "Denver Colorado" illustration booklet, with green cover and fancy black and golden front cover. Over 50 illustrations in only seven pages, includes: Bird's Eye View of Denver from Capitol Hill, Elitches Garden, Arapahoe Street, State Capitol Building, Masonic Temple, Mining Exchange, and Larimer St. Although no production company is not listed on this piece, it appears to be similar, but produced earlier, to work produced by the W.H. Lawrence & Co., Publishers, Booksellers and Stationers.
