Early stage receipt for J. B. Thompson for $125 for one package of money. For S M Sanders(?) of Muddy Creek. Signed by L. Lowman from the stage company. Muddy Creek is a 60 mile tributary of the Colorado River in the Fort Bridger / Piedmont area. It has been lost to history making this a very special document. J. B. Thompson was an incorporator of the narrow gauge Longmont and Erie Railroad in 1878. This could be our J. B.
