This lot includes 2 one-troy-ounce, 999 Fine Silver medallions from Northwest Territorial Mint. The first one features the official seal of the US Department of the Interior on the reverse fully plated in 24-carat gold, and on the obverse is an underground hard-rock miner beside an ore cart with features of the design selectively plated in 24-carat gold. The other medallion features the official Seal of the US Bureau of Mines on the reverse, and on the obverse is a classic image of a prospector panning for gold at the edge of a stream -- a small, genuine gold nugget has been affixed onto his gold pan (neither side of this medallion is gold plated). Each encapsulated coin includes a Certificate of Authenticity and is nestled into a black velvet-lined leatherette-style clamshell case covered by a white cardboard sleeve with a silver-foil-embossed image. See photo for details of these beautifully struck medallions. This lot comes from the liquidation of Northwest Territorial Mint. City: State: Date: HWAC# 79511
