# 93 for 4 shares to Edward Duraind. Signed by secretary JC Davie and president Charles L Mudge. Dateline 1882. Incorporated July 1881 at Newport, Kentucky. Incorporators were WH Gunn, WO Davie, and WH Anderson. Not cancelled. No vignette. Stamped seal. An article in the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that things are looking good and mining will re-commence as soon as the snow is off the mountains. The company has five claims about four miles from Leadville. One is patented. They are on the opposite side of the gulch and on the same geological formation as the Dyer mines which are turning out "pay-dirt." Ken Prag Collection
