Dateline Hawthorne and mines located at Hawthorne, a central Nevada town known for the Naval Ammunition Dump. Inc. 1886. No. 67, unissued but signed by the president John Forbes and secretary J.A. Yerington (son to famous Henry Yerington). Black border and print. Unique Nevada state seal vignette. Bancroft Lith. Dateline Hawthorne, Nevada, 1880s. RARE! Right border uneven – seems original. Both James Yerington and John Forbes were closely associated with Henry Yerington in mining and railroads (see included bios). The Dictator was on border of the Pamlico mine - the richest in the area and owned by Yerington and Forbes. Copper and Mica from this mine were exhibited 1900 Paris Exposition (more notes on the mine included). City:Hawthorne, Mineral Co. State:Nevada Date:1886
