Lacking first page of adds; copy laid in. Many advertisements. Pp. 69-88 are devoted to the Mines of grass Valley; pp. 89-92 to the Mines of Allison Ranch; pp. 100-101 cover the Mines of Forest Springs and Lone Jack. Pp. 106-112 detail the Quartz Mills of Grass valley. Pp. 113-143 contain full page advertisements (many illustrated). Also contains Quartz mining laws for Nevada County, adopted December 20.1852. Original cover worn but intact. Foxing, binding solid with some cracking of the first few pages, otherwise very good.
