Doaksville (post office 1847-1903) was the principal Choctaw town prior to the Civil War. Lot of three. 1) 1854 stampless letter. Manuscript ë5'. Letter is datelined Boggy, Choctaw nation, November 1, 1854. It is written by a white observer, references the Constitutional election in a few days, discusses oral traditions, etc. 2) 1859 manuscript. 3) 1870 manuscript with a 3c Sc14 stamp. It is addressed to Col. P. P. Pitchlyman, Washington D. C.
