A number of dominoes were recovered from the debris field of the S.S. Central America shipwreck in 2014. Upon initial inspection, we thought they were from the same set, but they turn out to be from different sets, made entirely differently. It well illustrates the fact that gaming onboard the ship was popular. This pair is a 5/3 and a 6/0. The numbers are drilled into the piece and were probably paint or ceramic filled. 1.5 x 0.75". Generally very fine.
