Signed by Dr. Chandler and David Holmes. The discovery of Drake's Plate of Brasse in 1937, given to Dr. Herbert E.Bolton, Director of the Bancroft Library in Berkeley was the beginning of a hoax played by Bolton's friends in E Clampus Vitus. This copy number one probably belonged to Dr. Chandler, Historian for Wells Fargo Bank.
