Here is a really nice collection of miners pick heads. Item # 1 of 5: 14" long pick head. 2" partial handle left. Hand forged and hammered, with steel wedge in head. Nice patina. Item # 2 of 5 : 14 5/8" long pick head with 25 3/4" handle in good condition. 5 spikes and a wedge in the head. Item # 3 of 5: " Mean & Nasty" looking... 16 7/8" pick head, no handle. has the numbers #2 ( upside down), and a # 6 on the front of the head. On the reverse are the numbers..#6, #6 , #18. hand done by a rookie Blacksmith. Extra pointy. Item # 4 of 5: 14" pick head with 15 1/5" handle. Cut short for working in small shafts.4" area under the handle, where the wood has fallen away. Still nice n strong. 3 copper wedges, in the head. Item #5 of 5 : 12" long pick head. No handle. Excavated form a dig, so a little crusty and rusty , great character n style. Hand forged as well. If you can handle this lot, you will have the pick of the best, get the point?. Would look great if mounted and displayed on the wall of your " Man Cave". (RH). City: State: Utah Date: 1860's - 1880's
