Civil War-era. Pass no. 154, issued to James Low for the year 1865. Singed by superintendent JP Farley. Black print with purple underprint and green background. Reorganization of the Dubuque Western Railroad which had been founded in 1855. Proposed track was to be thirty-one miles long ó four between Dubuque and the junction with the DUBUQUE AND PACIFIC RAILROAD and the balance between Farley and Anamosa. In 1878 the railroad was purchased by the Milwaukee & St. Paul Company.
