Ralston was the brother of William Ralston and while William was away in Washington D. C., he would manage his mining interests in Bodie and the Comstock. No vignette. Black border. Uncancelled. Printer - Britton & Rey, SF. 4 x 9". Datelined San Francisco. "At Bodie Ming. Dist., Mono Co, Cal." printed on certificate. Minor wear to fold creases. Very fine. 2) 1879 Bodie Bank receipt for 100 shares of Dudley for Nathan Rogers. The Dudley was formed in San Francisco with numerous Comstock figures serving as directors, including AJ Ralston, JW Haynie, RN Graves, and William M. Stewart.
