This card is for his run as the Republican nominee for State Senator for the 14th District which was comprised on Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, and Mono Counties. 2.75 x 4.25" Very good condition. Voorheis appears to have held this post in 1895. His name appears in more mining related publications, including as proprietor of the Amador Reduction Works in 1891 and the Lincoln Mine at Sutter Creek in 1894.
