Memorandum of Gold and SIlver Bullion deposited by the Savage Mining Company from the Douglas Mill on Sept. 26th, 1870. One deposit, 1581.93 ounces. Extremely rich in silver, .964 fineness, and 0.030 fineness gold. Total value of bar is $2,852.98. Signed E. Ruhling & Co. per C.R.E. Folds, some staining/toning. 6.5" x 13.75" The Douglas Mill, originally the Centerville Mill, was built in the early 1860s about 1/2 mille below Gold Hill.
