c.1909-1915. Panaca was a Mormon community located in Lincoln County, NV, 12 miles SE of Pioche. In the 1907 Polk, there is a listing for ES Gentry as a blacksmith, and one saloon is listed, owned by WA Bond. In the 1912 Polk, two saloons are listed for Panaca: one owned by MC Fitzparick and one by the Rice Bros. In May 1909, it was reported that Ernest Gentry was applying for a saloon license in Panaca. In March 1911, fifty citizens of Panaca filed a petition to close Gentry's pool room "complaining that the place is a menace to the town in a moral way." But it must not have worked because in 1913, George Wadsworth was running Gentry's pool room while he was away in Los Angeles. He later pops up in newspaper articles from 1918 listing him as autohire for Pioche. In 1920, he was elected assemblyman for Lincoln County. In 1926, he is listed as a former member of the Democratic State Central Committee. Unlisted in 1990 . Possibly unique!
