G. W. Barklage is sending the gold dust valued at $1,000 to R. G. Sneath of San Francisco. In 1866 Sneath was a grocer at 408 Front Street and the president of the Chamber of Commerce. Why would he be getting gold dust??? William Barklage arrived about 1871 and ran a mercantile business in Georgia slide near Georgetown.
