Stock certifcate for Chadborn & Coldwell MAnufacturing Co. issued March 9, 1887 for 25 shares to Eliz. Gignon. Uncancelled, signed by Thos Coldwell as president and Lewis m Smith as secretary. This pair reportedly began inventing and producing new forms of rolling mowers in teh 1870's, a full 40 years after the lawn mowwer was invented by Edward Budding in England in 1830.
