Stock certifcate for Chadborn & Coldwell MAnufacturing Co. issued March 9, 1887 for 25 shares to Eliz. Gignon. Uncancelled, signed by Thos Coldwell as president and Lewis m Smith as secretary. This pair reportedly began inventing and producing new forms of rolling mowers in teh 1870's, a full 40 years after the lawn mowwer was invented by Edward Budding in England in 1830. This stock also comes with the orignal envelope which has the same vignette as the stock.
