Mechanical equatorial sundial made by Will Wyeth. Wyeth was a major compass, sundial made during the first half of the eighteenth century. This piece may date from 1729-1740. It has engraved the various cities on the back with longitude. Compass with glass intact. 57mm x 71mm. No case. Silver. These devices are the early clocks of the day. They are very fancy, rare, and a fabulous invention.
