Fantastic postal history collection which includes one cover postmarked Chamberino to Pasadena addressed to Mrs. Charles T. Bartlett, which includes a gorgeously penned letter from a husband who misses his wife dreadfully and is explaining arrangements that he is trying to make for them to live and reunite in Chamberlain, NM. He goes on to say if only this scheme had entered his empty head before, he didn't think he would have let her go. He signs off with the word Lovingly, Charles. Includes tan legal sized cover with a double ring postmark Cimarron 1881 and 3 cent postage due (#U167) with Topeka, Kansas postmark from the Treasurer's Office of the Atchinson, Topeka, & Santa Fe RR- front left side irregulary reduced. Corner advertising cover Eldodt, Wool Hides & Pelts with double circle duplex postmark to Ojo Caliente from San Juan and a 3 cent green (#207) stamp. Corner advertising cover William Robert, Stock Raiser from Roswell to Preetz, Holstein Germany with lightly struck Type 4 postmark, 1 cent ultramarine & pair of 2 cent green (212, 213) stamps & received stamp at Fort Stanton 1888 and received stamp at Preetz 1888. Pictoral corner advertising cover The Eklund Hotel from Clayton to Enid, Oklahoma with 2 one-cent green stamps & 2 Denver- Amarillo postmarks and front right side cropped at a diagonal. An interesting postal cover with double ring postmark 1883 from Chloride, NM and a received stamp on reverse in Denver, CO. Please view all photos.
