In 1869 the first run of gold and silver mining in Nevada were over. The Big Bonanzas were soon to start. Reverse says Mrs. Adele Blasen, Nov., 1869. This Wells Fargo stamp is garbled - all except a strong Silver Springs with a (U21) postage stamp. The Wells Fargo office in this area would soon change its name to Shermantown to mimic the post office. Located in White Pine County near present day Ely.
