Certificates, No. (332, 823, 848, 869, 877). Dated 1941 to 1972. First four were signed by Paul Jennings as President, while he most recent was signed as Paul Jennings Jr. as President. The first was signed by T. Ericksen as Secretary, while the final four were signed by Opal Stowe. The City of Highland lies in the north and eastern part of the San Bernardino Valley, rising from the lowlands to 1600 feet on the slopes of the San Bernardino mountain range. Citrus introduced in CA in 1769 by Franciscan Fathers in San Diego, with their first grove at San Gabriel Mission in 1804. Orange production began to decline in 1948 despite popularity.
