Gorgeous ceramic liquor jug, classic squat shape and 3" applied thumb hole handle. Nearly pristine condition, (1) medium and (1) vey small chip on shoulder, neck has (2) small chips. Glazed lettering on jug reads 'ED S. HUGHES GLENWOOD SPRINGS, COLO. 1910.' Clean interior, bottom surfaces are in very good condition as well. Measures 7.5" to shoulder, nearly 11" to top of neck. Diameter is approx. 7.75". Born in 1857, Ed Hughes was a true entrepreneur, recognizing Glenwood Springs thermal hot springs for future spas, a saloon and hotel owner, and prime supplier of mineral waters and liquor for the town.
