Exquisite sienna colored egg of high polish and beautifully executed and detailed etchings of waves, fish octopus and a llama! The piece is signed Forest Naranjo (FKN) and in excellent condition. 1-3/8" h x 2.25". Forest Naranjo comes from a family of notable Santa Clara potters. He is the son of Tito and Bernice Naranjo and the grandson of Rose Naranjo. He is known for the highly polished surfaces of his pots that can be as shiny as a mirror. He uses traditional pottery-making techniques while incorporating contemporary, densely packed carved designs, often involving combinations of different animal figures. His many awards in exhibitions and his wide exposure at galleries testify to his immense talent and he is a favorite with collectors. Exquisite Sienna bowl of high polish and beautifully executed and detailed etchings of many small critters. Including peacocks, lizards, a turtle and what I think is a little dog. The piece is signed Forest Naranjo and in excellent condition. Date: Location: Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico HWAC # 49372
