The most interesting piece is a 1911 Verdi, Nevada letter with good contents. The author is working for the Truckee River Power Canal (which still traverses right down main street). He is working in a carpenter's gang on the flume. He writes about the fire at Stone and Webster-contractors for the canal. The fire took place on May 16th.The letter was sent on May 18th. Historic background for both the canal and company are included.
