This is an El Paso Saddlery gun belt. Size 39-40 in. It is not date stamped; however, this construction of this belt is spectacular considering that El Paso Saddlery has been in business since 1889. The belt is folded over to be smooth on both surfaces with light wear. The ammunition is 31 rounds of .44-40 cal. Some rounds are marked 44-40 Winchester, 44-40 W-W, some brass construction without any markings at all, some are copper cased, some are original factory primed, still others are hand loaded with a Winchester hand press; you can tell by the indent on the primer when hand seated. This is the chronology in bullet technology in the last one hundred years. All rounds appear to be loaded with black powder with varying degrees of veritas on the cases and bullet tip. These rounds should not be shot but recognized for the evolution of cartridge development. No sales to New York, New Jersey, California, Alaska, and Hawaii. No international sales. Extra shipping charges apply. From the Sherman collection.
