Rare and early. Dateline Nevada City, April 20th, 1863. Low No. 8, issued for one share to H.B. Hosmer. Signed by Wm. W. Cozzins, president and secretary E.H. Gaylord. Unusual design with the same allegorical woman vignette on both the right and left sides of the certificate. 25 cent IR stamp covering most of right vignette. No printer listed. Folds, some toning and soiling, ink showing thru from endorsement on reverse. Not in Filer or other Holabird indexes. H.B. Hosmer was an assemblyman in San Francisco during the 1850s.
