Originally and Enfield long barrel full stock musket, cut down to 26” barrel with a half stock conversion. Been converted to a first model Enfield swing breech to fire the .577 Sneider black powder cartridge. Gun dates approximately 1820-30's. Conversion to cartridge looks to be factory. Ramrod still attached and lanyard rings are still present. Action functions well, aiming sites are still in place. Excellent collector piece or black powder shooter with a gunsmith’s approval.
