1)Two hundred fifty shares of capital stock of Ernst-Alaska Dredging Company, number 29 issued to Anna E. Walter, dated June 20, 1911. Two revenue stamps, gold company seal noted incorporated 1910 in Seattle, Washington. Three mining vignettes. Hand written note that these were cancelled July 30, 1915. 2) Letter from Joe Ernst to his brother A. B. letting him know of all the problems that have held up production and added expenses, so don't expect a dividend. He has hopes for the coming year as new or fixed equipment comes on board. "Well this has been a pretty bum season. Longer and harder work than ever before for the size of the output. Lots of rocks, extremely hard digging and a bucket-line too badly worn to stand the heavy strain of this kind of digging, all contributed to a great deal of lost time. To cap this climax the stormiest season in the history of Nome has kept the surf nagging at our flanks all summer and sanded us in completely twice." Ken Prag collection.
