Etched Navajo jar by Fabian de Vallenti Norberto. Fabian Norberto was a Navajo Indian potter who worked exclusively in the Santa Clara Pueblo pottery style. He was born in 1960 & died in 1994 at a young age. He lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This pot is signed on the bottom Fabian De Vallenti Norberto, 1994, the year he died. This is an exquisite pot, 3.25" h x 3.5" diameter. Highly polished black pot, carved & etched. Geometric design around the rim, 2 carved Navajo "Yei" figures on opposite sides of the pot, one side shows Kachina dancer. Date: Location: Navajo, Arizona/New Mexico HWAC # 52753
