Group of 45 copies of the Eureka Daily Sentinel, dated consecutively from November 11 to December 25, 1879. Each is 4-6 pages in length. Column headings include: "For Sale And To Let," "Breweries And Saloons," "Hotels," "Clothing And Provisions," "Saloons," "Restaurants," and "Attorneys-At-Law." Also includes several notices concerning upcoming Christmas events such as the "Grand Masquerade Ball" at Eureka Hall. Printed on brown paper, measures 17" x 24." Small tears with small pieces shaking loose around edges, otherwise very fine.
Abstract of a Report of Professor Clayton On a Set of Twenty Mines in the Eureka District, Nevada. 1871, 4 pp. Clayton was a mining and mechanical engineer, who was also an officer of Ruby Construction.
Newspapers are yellowed with age and slightly frayed at the edges.
