J. N. Macomb, Corps of Topographical Engineers (Now Colonel of Engineers) with Geological Report by Prof. J. S. Newberry, Geologist of the Expedition. Published Washington: Government Printing Office 1876. 152 pages with index plus 8 paleontology plates at end and very large fold out map: "Map of Exploration and Surveys in New Mexico and Utah made under the direction of the Secretary of War..." Map is torn at some folds. Illustrations include 11 plates of landscape views, plus "Trap Dike, Pope's Well, South of Santa Fe", "The Pagosa, S.W. Colorado", and "Ruins of stone houses on cliffs, Labyrinth Canon". Inscribed to Lykins, Kansas City, Mo. 1879, From the Chief of Engineers, War Department Washington D.C. See photos for condition.
