This Inyo stock is signed by president HM Yerington. Yerington was the driving force behind the VIrginia & Truckee and the Carson & Colorado railroads. Dateline 1896 in Carson City. Certificate was printed by Sutherland Printer, Virginia Nev. It is # 34 for 208 shares to Delia Livingston. Signed by Yerington and secretary G Ford. Dateline is 1896, but the company was incorporated on April 2, 1885. Not cancelled. Nice looking black on pink. Vertical and horizontal folds. No edge, corner, pinhole or discoloration issues. Extremely nice. The inyo development Company was located just outside Keeler and on the Carson & Colorado Railroad. Hence the Yerington connection. Keeler was the endpoint of the Cerro Gordo Tramway. The Inyo Development Company was the earliest of the soda ash operations on Owens Lake. Prag Collection
