Never offered by us! Pictorial letterhead for Homewood resort, located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. "Reached Via Southern Pacific Railroad and Lake Tahoe Railroad." Mrs. AW Jost, proprietor and manager. Letter written in 1923 to Irene Chase of Berkeley. Photo vignette of the resort! Writing on front and back. 8.25 x 11" Folds, very good condition. Homewood was not settled until the 1880s. A post office was established in 1909, and in 1910, Annie & Arthur Jost started construction of the Hotel Homewood. Annie Jost operated it until 1938 when it was bought by Donald Huff.
