This is the first one of these we have ever seen! It is also only one of two Nevada advertising scrip that we know of; the other known ad. note is from Virginia City. No. 24597. $3 scrip from Mrs. J. Sheyer & Co., Dealers in Dry Goods, Fancy Goods, etc. "Our Motto: Quick Sales and Small Profits. We Treat All Alike." Allegorical vignette. Green and black font. Reverse has Carson City, Nevada dateline. This piece of scrip was issued to the Virginia & Truckee Railroad for 5 yards Canton Flannel. Measures 3.75" x 7.5" Rough portions of top edge. Some staining.
