Lot of 3. 1) Prescription slip dated Sept. 21st, 1894 to Mrs Fitzgerald. Printed on yellow paper. 4.75 x 3.5" 2) Tradecard for Dr. Jayne's Tonic Vermifuge, stamped F.F. Muller, Elko, Elko Co., Nevada. 3) Prescription bottle label for the Elko Drug Co. Heavily soiled. 2 x 3" Frank F. Muller moved to Elko from Texas in 1875 and worked for physician and druggist L. Terry. The next year, Muller bought out Terry. In addition to his drug store, Muller was active in Nevada mining. He bought claims in the Bruno and Rock Creek Districts. In the latter, he managed the Scorpion Mine. Muller's last investment in mining was in Kittridge Canyon in 1888. He did not make money and focused on his drug store business. Muller bought a brick building on Railroad Street behind the Depot Hotel in 1879--it would house the Elko drug store for more than 100 years. He took on MH Miller as a partner in the 1880s, later selling his business to Miller in 1896. When the store closed in the 1980s, it was the longest continually running drug store in Nevada.
