Lot of 17. 1) Six billheads, 5 different types. 1896 (x2), 1901 (x2), 1904, and 1905. Advertise "Pure Drugs and Chemicals," as wells as Eastman Kodaks and Photographic Supplies. 2) Five prescription slips, three different. 1893 and 1898 (x4). 3) Other ephemera: three Bullion & Exchange Bank receipts (1894); COD to Steinmetz (1891, signed on reverse); newspaper ad for Steinmetz; and credit slip. Frank J. Steinmetz arrived in Carson City in the mid-1880s and opened the "City Drug Store" in 1893, located on 408 N. Carson St. He was among the first of the Nevada pharmacists to receive his license from the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy, May 23, 1901. He sold his store to JA Muller in 1909, eventually relocating to Palo Alto and taking over the University Pharmacy. For more info., please see Volume Two of the Nevada Bottle Book.
